Welcome to the Scottish Borders section of Shepherds Walks.
One of the most stunning features of the Scottish Borders is the rich variety of landscape, from rugged coastlines to wild bleak moor lands. All this makes it an ideal location for walkers who want to get away from the crowds.
The beautiful Border area in Scotland has a rich history and for the walker it offers you space to breathe clean air and feel free. There are rolling hills, extensive mature forests, superb river valleys and interesting towns and villages. The region is seamed with deserted tracks and paths so that you can walk for hours.
As I live and work just over the border I have always been taken back by the wonderful unspoilt scenery the Borders has to offer. When writing these walks I have tried to incorporate not only the rich history the region has to offers but also explain a little about the wonderful farmland and countryside the walks take you through. Whilst out and about over the years I have met many people who think the Scottish Borders treat the walker to the best of everything. From the spectacular but undiscovered scenery to the tremendous hospitality Scotland is famous for.
Feel free to contact us about anything on the site or any of the walks and I hope you enjoy looking round our website.
